World AIDS Day at Grace Cathedral

On Friday, December 1, we remember those who have died, pray for their loved ones and recall Grace Cathedral’s role as a stronghold for love and social justice from the beginning of the AIDS crisis.



Morning Prayer
9 am in the AIDS Interfaith Memorial Chapel
Begin the morning with prayer in the AIDS Chapel.

Reading of Names from Book of Remembrance
10 am – 12 pm
We will be reading the names of those who have died of AIDS.

AIDS Interfaith Memorial Chapel Rededication and Eucharist
12:10 pm
Join us for a special Eucharist to commemorate World AIDS Day, followed by the rededication of the newly reopened AIDS Interfaith Memorial Chapel.

Candlelight Labyrinth Walk
5 pm – 6:30 pm
Walk the labyrinth by candlelight and music and pray for peace in our hearts and peace in the world.

World AIDS Day: Stories and Song
7:30 pm
To mark World AIDS Day and the 30th anniversary of the NAMES Project AIDS Quilt, join us for an evening of music and stories about the Bay Area response to the AIDS crisis.
