We bussed over to the campsite, where we were given all the gear we needed and set up camp. After setting up, we went for a 1.3 mile hike to Andy Goldworthy’s Spire and then the parents gathered to prepare dinner. We were visited by two Park Rangers who read us a book, sang songs with us and told us stories. We made s’mores and watched the sunset from Immigrant Point. We slept soundly in our tents and in the morning shared pancakes, bacon and fruit for breakfast and then ventured on another hike.
We enjoyed being together as a community while surrounded by nature. We even got to see a coyote stride through our campsite!
