Stitching Ministry: Connecting Your Craft with Those In Need

Blog|Fran Rounds

The Stitching Ministry is gearing up for fall. In the past few weeks, we have received two generous and creative additions to the finished works we have on hand (so far): a colorful stash of little knit bracelets and several lovely scarves awaiting next year’s Interfaith shelter guests or perhaps the Advent Sale. We are so thankful to those who provide their time and talent to knit for us.

All are welcome to join the Stitching Ministry, from beginners to the most advanced knitters and crocheters. Our community supplies yarn, tools, instruction and enthusiastic support. Meetings occur on the first, third and last Sundays of each month from 1 – 3 p.m.

Our annual fall backpack project for the opening of school is approaching. If you’d like to knit or crochet a child’s sweater, hat, or scarf, this would be a great the time to do so. Also, we can always use hats and scarves during the winter, either for the shelter or for our winter sale. The Stitching Ministry is happy to provide contributors with yarn or needles for these projects. If you would like to help, don’t hesitate to drop in during one of our meetings.
