Winter Interfaith Shelter

March 27, 2018

3:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Winter Interfaith Shelter, sponsored by the San Francisco Interfaith Council and run by Episcopal Community Services, has been extended this year to meet the needs of our community. The initiative provides dinner, breakfast and a dry place to sleep for homeless men during the coldest and wettest time of the year.

Learn more and sign-up to volunteer.

On both days, the (family-friendly) first shift will meet at Grace Cathedral in the kitchen from 3 to 5 pm for food preparation.

The (18 and up, please) second shift will meet at Canon Kip Senior Center (705 Natoma Street, 1.3 miles from Grace Cathedral) at 6 pm to serve the shelter guests. We will finish with cleanup no later than 8 pm.

Volunteers are also welcome (but not required) to bring food to share with our shelter guests, including hard-boiled eggs, bread rolls and desserts.
