Sacramento Ebony Chorale — Spiritual Songs: A Legacy of Faith
February 24, 2018
The Sacramento Ebony Chorale is a group of Christian men and women whose mission is to re-ignite a deep appreciation for the Negro Spiritual through performance, education and an annual music camp. It is their desire to preserve the Negro Spiritual as a testament, a memorial, of the unwavering faith in God of our enslaved African ancestors, and as the chief cornerstone of a range of American music genres.
This concert is presented in celebration of Black History Month, along with the art exhibit by Keris Salmon, We Have Made These Lands: The Architecture of Slavery.
