About Our Beyoncé Mass
April 25, 2018
We can’t wait to see you at the #BeyonceMass! Doors open at 6 pm. We suggest taking public transportation since parking is limited near the cathedral. We expect this event to be well-attended so seating is first come, first served. Don’t forget to use #BeyonceMass on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
Beyoncé? At church? That’s right!
Come to The Vine SF to sing your Beyoncé favorites and discover how her art opens a window into the lives of the marginalized and forgotten, particularly Black women. The Rev. Yolanda Norton, Assistant Professor of Old Testament at San Francisco Theological Seminary who created the “Beyoncé and the Hebrew Bible” class at SFTS, will be preaching.
Read a message from our dean, Malcolm Clemens Young, that explains more about the service and why we are holding it.
This is the third week in our teaching series, “Speaking Truth: The Power of Story in Community.” Join us throughout May as we look at how we can grow together using each of our unique voices.
