Grace in the News: Women’s March

Blog|Grace

Grace Cathedral’s participation in the Women’s March in San Francisco was highlighted in this KPIX news story on the day of the march, January 21. Our dean, Malcolm Clemens Young, told KPIX that the cathedral draws many people seeking a place to collect themselves spiritually and experience healing.

Our group of 200 met at the cathedral for a blessing and prayer before joining the thousands who marched for human rights and civil liberties for all. Our message was “Grace for All” which speaks to our commitment to social justice for all people, a value held not just in response to recent divisiveness, but also during the civil rights movement in the 1960s, women’s rights movement in the 1970s and AIDS crisis in the 1980s and 1990s.

We are a house of prayer for all people. Everyone is welcome to use our space as a place for peace and healing. Join us for daily services or drop in and find solace in our beautiful space.
