As people of faith, our hearts break when we see unhoused sisters and brothers living on our City streets. We want to do our part to help relieve their plight, but more often than not we just don’t know how. By participating in the October 15, 2023 WinterFaith Shelter Walk, a 4-1/2 mile charity trek around Lake Merced, you can help the San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC) support its core mission, the Interfaith Winter Shelter, a critical program which provides shelter and meals for up to 80 homeless San Franciscans nightly during the most cold and rainy winter months. Volunteer! Become a sponsor! Organize a team! Solicit family and friends to support your walk participation! In doing so, you will become a partner with those four religiously affiliated host sites that open their doors and over 50 congregations that prepare and provide meals and give hope to those who otherwise would be neglected!
