The Catholic Church faces great challenges as it enters the Third Millennium. The number of priests leaving the celibate/clerical lifestyle for married life is growing, and parishes are consolidating as one by one their leaders depart. There is a groundswell of interest in women and married people entering the priesthood, and idea that is staunchly opposed by those in authority. Chanoine Francois Legaux, Rector Emeritus of Chartres Cathedral in France, The Very Rev. Alan Jones, and The Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress discuss the future of the priesthood, ecumenism, and the faith.
