Volunteer Opportunities in Ministry to Families, Youth and Children
The children and youth of Grace Cathedral do big work, and they are supported by many volunteers.
On Sunday mornings, storytellers and greeters work in the Godly Play classrooms and adult mentors work with youth, they commit to working in the classroom about once a month, during the church school year. On a similar schedule, our hospitality team welcomes new families and arranges family coffee hour.
There are many other ways and schedules for volunteer who minister with families, children and youth. They may organize organize and restock classroom materials, lead fun and games at youth events and the family retreat, mend and prepare costumes for our Christmas pageant, plan outings. Whatever your gifts and whatever your schedule, we're grateful for your help.
In accordance with diocesan policy, every employee and every volunteer who works with children at Grace Cathedral is background screened and trained in abuse prevention.
