Flower Guild

The floral arrangements for all services and events in the cathedral are created and maintained weekly by these volunteers. No experience, only a love of flowers, is necessary.

Garden Volunteers

The Volunteer Gardeners are neighborhood friends and congregation members who maintain the gardens throughout the Cathedral close. No experience is needed and all supplies are provided. Weather permitting, the volunteers meet Saturday mornings at 9am across from the Wilsey Conference Room (ground level, use the Taylor Street entrance) to discuss the morning's tasks of planting, pruning, watering or cleaning. The volunteers regroup at 11am for coffee at Peet's (across from the Gift Shop).

Vergers Guild

These volunteers offer practical support to the staff Vergers in the care of the cathedral close. Typical tasks include polishing brass, cleaning and restocking votive candle holders, straightening and rearranging chairs in the chapels, dusting icons, and cleaning the glass doors.

Sunday School Teachers

Weekly Sunday School classes are taught by volunteers who commit to blocks during the school year. Curriculum and teaching materials are provided, as are required training and certification. Love of children is a must; some teaching experience is helpful, but not necessary.
