View from the Cathedral Rooftop

Atop the roof of Grace Cathedral, you can catch a bird's eye view of Nob Hill. Many of the buildings you see are residential apartment houses and condominium hi-rises. Further to the left is the base of Grace Cathedral's spire. Even further to the left, in the distance, you can make out San Francisco's Telegraph Hill. The lead choir and transept roofs shown have been rebuilt and clad with lead-coated copper. At center is the base of the central spire or fleche. Further left is distant Telegraph Hill and the bay, with the Cathedral School for Boys in the foreground. Founded in 1957, the school is the first of its kind in the West.
