The music heard in these streaming audio selections was recorded live in December 1997 to commemorate Grace Cathedral's 50th anniversary Christmas concerts.
As live recordings, with their attendant sounds of a large and enthusiastic audience, these selections allow listeners to share in the moment of artistic genesis in a way that no studio sessions can recreate. The clear, resonant acoustics of Grace Cathedral's Gothic architecture -- reverberation time is up to seven seconds -- bring alive centuries' old work by some of the world's greatest composers. These high-quality streaming MP3 audio selections require the Flash
plug-in. If you don't have Flash get it here.
