The floral arrangements for all services and events in the Cathedral are
created and maintained weekly by these volunteers. No experience, only a
love of flowers, is necessary.

Gardeners meet regularly on Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. to plant, weed, and
water the beautiful, award-winning landscaping on the Cathedral Close.

These volunteers offer practical support to the staff Vergers in the
care of the Cathedral Close. Typical tasks include polishing brass,
cleaning and restocking votive candle holders, straightening and
rearranging chairs in the chapels, dusting icons, and cleaning the glass
doors.

The Clerk of the Works and his volunteers keep the vast and complex
infrastructure of the Cathedral in working order. They are responsible
for the smooth running of all steam, electrical, mechanical, and
plumbing systems, and the maintenance of the Cathedral and Chapter
House.

Weekly Sunday School classes are taught by volunteers who commit to
blocks during the school year. Curriculum and teaching materials are
provided, as are required training and certification. Love of children
is a must; some teaching experience is helpful, but not necessary.

The Junior and Senior High Youth Groups need energetic, committed adults
to lead and assist with weekly meetings, special projects, and field
trips. Volunteers may choose a regular or occasional commitment.
