The "community of families" at Grace Cathedral includes families of every sort and size: there are single parent families with young children and youth; there are families with kids and two parents — mom and dad or sometimes two moms or two dads; there are folks without children in their own households but who love children and have "adopted" the youngsters of the cathedral as their own. So when we talk about "family ministry" at Grace, we're really thinking of the whole cathedral family!

Throughout the year there are lots of special events for this very special family of families: potlucks, movie nights, summer outings, and seasonal events that celebrate the feasts of the church year. On Memorial Day weekend, we spend three days together at The Bishop's Ranch in Healdsburg, California, on our annual family retreat. Families swim, hike, worship, and play together, relaxing, laughing, creating, and experiencing what it means to be part of the family of God.
