Welcome! Our community is made up of families and singles, children and seniors, all representing a wide diversity of ethnicities, races, sexual orientations, interests, and backgrounds. People who come through our doors include tourists, visitors, long-time members, associated friends, and seekers open to where God may be leading them.
The size and array of services, classes, programs and events can be overwhelming. To help you get connected, we recommend the following:
Worship with us: The first step to becoming involved in any church community is to worship there. Participating in worship lets you try out and see if this community is the one which you wish to make your spiritual home. For a list of our regularly scheduled services, click here.
Join us for Hospitality: Hospitality following the Sunday 8:30 and 11 a.m. services provides an informal, relaxed time to meet congregants, clergy, and staff of Grace Cathedral. People in the purple robes work at the cathedral and are on hand to greet you and answer questions.
Visit the “Welcome” table: If you would like information about our church, classes, membership or just how to get involved, one of our program staff and lay leaders in the congregation will be at a designated table during hospitality following the 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m., or 6 p.m. Sunday Eucharists to greet you and help you on your journey.
Attend a "New To Grace" Session: Every second Sunday of the month, following the 11 a.m. Holy Eucharist, you are invited to gather in a group led by cathedral clergy and program staff, who will share news and materials on programs, ministries, and events at Grace Cathedral. Come see who we are and hear how we understand faith and practice within our Episcopal tradition. Bring your questions.
Join an Inquirer’s Class: Come together with a group of people to explore the meaning of the Christian life. These foundational classes discuss topics like: What do we say about God? Who is Jesus? What does it mean to follow Jesus? Exploring the ethos, practice, and history of Christian tradition and worship, discuss how you might be called to deepen your faith commitment and respond to God’s call to new life, mission, and ministry. Classes are held regularly and are an excellent preparation for baptism and confirmation.
Meet with a Member of the Clergy: After you have a chance to worship with us for a bit and get a sense of the life and community of Grace Cathedral, you may wish to meet with a member of the clergy staff for a one-to-one conversation. Such a meeting is a great opportunity to ask specific questions you might have, to begin developing a pastoral relationship, and to talk about ways that your interests, talents, experience, and passions intersect with the cathedral’s vision, needs, and mission.
