Organ Recital Series - William Callaway

Our organ recital series features some of the finest organists playing one of America's great organs. Our organist today is William Callaway. Suggested donation of $10.

About the Recitalist

William Callaway grew up in the greater Atlanta area, and began playing in churches at an early age. He studied with the renowned teacher Russell Saunders at the Eastman School of Music and Egbert Ennulat at the University of Georgia. Currently the organist at Chamblee Methodist Church in Atlanta, he is active as a recitalist and accompanist in the Atlanta area. Mr. Callaway is a frequent performer at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta and has given solo recitals at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia, playing a program of orchestral transcriptions. He has taken several organ study tours of Europe, playing the historic instruments of England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and Switzerland. Next month Mr. Callaway will mark his 45th anniversary as a church musician.
