How God Helps Heroes
We think of police officers, fire fighters, and paramedics as heroes, but who helps them when traumas they experience on the job cause severe anxiety or depression? San Rafael Police Sgt. Rick Clary discusses the "miracle" he experienced at the West Coast Post-Trauma Retreat, where he overcame "five years of personal hell" that included the death of his parents and the fatal shooting of a suspect on duty. Also appearing is Rev. Jan Heglund, who is helping emergency service professionals like Sgt. Clary return to work or move on in their careers with greater confidence.
