Rediscovering Justice:
Awakening World Faiths to Address World Issues
On the eve of the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations in the spring of 1995, over 200 young people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds engaged in passionate dialogue on issues of global justice, religious understanding, race, ethnicity, war, and peace at a special conference held over three days at the University of San Francisco to. As the 60th Anniversary of the United Nations is celebrated once again in San Francisco this year, experience the spirit of the 1995 Interfaith Youth Conference, as participants take a first step toward founding a united religions organization for peace, reconciliation, and justice on a global scale. Still as germane as the Conference was in 1995, Rediscovering Justice speaks to the urgent moral, political, and religious issues which all people – youth and adult – grapple with in an ever increasingly complex world.
