Lighten Up! -- Environmental Stewardship

"Lighten Up: A Religious Response To Global Warming," is a
documentary film that seeks to engage a religious response by showing
the devastating effects of global climate change.
"Lighten Up" was produced by GraceCom Media Ministry to support the
work of The Regeneration Project, and its founder The Rev. Sally
Bingham. As a minister at Grace Cathedral and Chair of the
Commission for the Environment of the Diocese of California, Sally
developed the Episcopal Power and Light ministry under the auspices of The Regeneration Project, a San Francisco-based public charity. Their mission is to
help, at no cost, individuals and institutions of the Episcopal
Church to further their stewardship of Creation.
The video offers simple lifestyle changes like walking, biking, and
car-pooling or using mass transit as a way to decrease the negative
impact global warming is having on the earth. By making these lifestyle adjustments those in the religious community will reduce their excessive use of fossil fuels and energy while becoming better stewards of the earth. "Lighten Up" continues the work that The Regeneration Project has been doing in providing guidance and education to national religious communities on global
warming.
